This turned out to be a huge success last time around, so I'll keep it going with round two. Look for a few versions in the coming weeks and months leading up to the draft on April 25-26.
This time around, I've got the final list of underclassmen that declared, some of whom were not in my initial mock draft. On the other hand, some underclassmen that were in the first version decided to go back to school. The final draft order (barring trades, which I won't even attempt to project) is also set, which wasn't the case the first time around. I've included the previous pick in parenthesis so you don't have to keep going back and forth to compare. Now, on to the picks:
1. Detroit Lions - Andre Smith, T, Alabama (Previous pick: same) - I am hearing and reading in a lot of different places that Smith's stock is dropping. While that may be the case, I still think he makes the most sense for the Lions. We'll see if this pick changes in the coming weeks.
2. St. Louis Rams - Jason Smith, T, Baylor (Previous pick: Eugene Monroe, T, Virginia) - Just like Andre Smith's stock appears to be falling, Jason Smith's stock appears to be rising. I believe the Rams are going for an offensive lineman here. Smith could be their guy.
3. Kansas City Chiefs - Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest (Previous pick: same) - Curry is legitimate. I don't see the Chiefs passing on the impact linebacker.
4. Seattle Seahawks - Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech (Previous pick: same) - This still makes too much sense to me. B.J. Raji is a name that's appearing more and more, but No. 4 is too high for him.
5. Cleveland Browns - Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State (Previous pick: Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State) - From one Buckeye to another, the Browns tab Jenkins. He appears to be a lock for a top-10 selection.
6. Cincinnati Bengals - Eugene Monroe, T, Virginia (Previous pick: Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas) - Orakpo could still be the choice here, but Monroe, a solid tackle, is probably the safer pick.
7. Oakland Raiders - B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College (Previous pick: Taylor Mays, S, USC) - Like I said, Raji is flying up draft boards, and Oakland certainly could use the help up front.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars - Michael Oher, T, Ole Miss (Previous pick: same) - Jags go for the best offensive lineman on the board. At No. 8, this will probably Oher.
9. Green Bay Packers - Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas (Previous pick: Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State) - The Packers need help on the defensive side of the ball, and Orakpo certainly would be a boost.
10. San Francisco 49ers - Everette Brown, DE/LB, Florida State (Previous pick: Jason Smith, T, Baylor) - If one of the premier tackles slips to the 49ers, expect them to go that way. If not, Brown is a smart addition to an improving defense.
11. Buffalo Bills - Matt Stafford, QB, Georgia (Previous pick: same) - I still love this pick. Buffalo desperately needs a franchise quarterback. It has been well over a decade. Stafford is the guy.
12. Denver Broncos - James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State (Previous pick: same) - Denver will absolutely go for defense, and Laurinaitis has starter-from-day-one written all over him.
13. Washington Redskins - Aaron Maybin, DE/LB, Penn State (Previous pick: Eben Britton, T, Arizona) - Probably a little too high for Britton, so Maybin could be the pick. He would add another pass rusher to a Washington team that needs help in that department.
14. New Orleans Saints - Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois (Previous pick: Rey Maualuga, LB, USC) - Saints will go for defense here. Maualuga would be a good fit too.
15. Houston Texans - William Moore, S, Missouri (Previous pick: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma) - All indications are that the Texans will go with defense. Moore should help an average secondary.
16. San Diego Chargers - Rey Maualuga, LB, USC (Previous pick: Everette Brown, DE/LB, Florida State) - Charger fans would welcome the hometown product. Norv Turner would welcome an impact linebacker.
17. New York Jets - Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri (Previous pick: William Moore, S, Missouri) - With Moore gone, the Jets nab his college teammate. Maclin joins with Coles and Cotchery to form a very nice receiving corps.
18. Chicago Bears - D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt (Previous pick: Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois) - Bears need to upgrade their defense, and Moore is one of the top cornerbacks.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia (Previous pick: Percy Harvin, WR, Florida) - Oddly enough, Moreno is the first running back off the board, all the way at No. 19. A steal for the Bucs.
20. Detroit Lions - Mark Sanchez, QB, USC (Previous pick: Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech) - The Lions ultimately end up with their first-round, franchise quarterback. I still think they might avoid a quarterback this early, but Sanchez has serious potential.
21. Philadelphia Eagles - Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State (Previous pick: Duke Robinson, G, Oklahoma) - Pettigrew would immediately improve Philly's tight end situation, which right now features mostly just Brent Celek.
22. Minnesota Vikings - Eben Britton, T, Arizona (Previous pick: Brandon Spikes, LB, Florida) - The Vikings don't have many glaring weaknesses, and I don't believe they are ready to give up on Jackson at quarterback.
23. New England Patriots - Brian Cushing, LB, USC (Previous pick: D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt) - After hitting on last year's first-round pick of Jerod Mayo, the Pats continue to add pieces to an improving linebacker corps.
24. Atlanta Falcons - Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss (Previous pick: B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College) - Falcons need help on the defensive line. In particular, they need help on the interior.
25. Miami Dolphins - Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU (Previous pick: Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri) - The Dolphins will probably try to bulk up on both the offensive and defensive lines this offseason.
26. Baltimore Ravens - Ciron Black, T, LSU (Previous pick: same) - The Ravens add depth to their line offensive line. The loss of Jonathan Ogden really set them back, but Black could eventually develop into a force.
27. Indianapolis Colts - Duke Robinson, G, Oklahoma (Previous pick: Max Unger, C, Oregon) - No matter what I think the Colts will go for offensive line help here.
28. Philadelphia Eagles - Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State (Previous pick: Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State) - At this point the Eagles are just going for best player on the board. Spelling Westbrook with Wells would be pretty lethal.
29. New York Giants - Percy Harvin, WR, Florida (Previous pick: Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU) - Looks like Amani Toomer is finally going to retire, and Plaxico Burress is still up in the air. Wide receiver is a definite need for the Giants.
30. Tennessee Titans - Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland (Previous pick: same) - The Titans have to get a big-time receiver. Heyward-Bey could be that guy, and should be available this late.
31. Pittsburgh Steelers - Max Unger, C, Oregon (Previous pick: Alex Mack, C, California) - The Steelers love adding big, tough lineman. Unger is the next in line.
32. Arizona Cardinals - LeSean McCoy, RB, Pittsburgh (Previous pick: Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia) - The Cards can pair the explosive McCoy with the powerful Hightower.

No way the Ravens take an O-lineman in the first round. O-line was surprisingly good for us, and Jared Gaither is our LT of the future. The pick is either CB or WR.
Steelers take Mack in the first round, all reports out of Moblie say that Mack had a better Senior Bowl than Unger, both are able to slide out to guard which is what the steelers oh so obviously need but Mack is just better
Well, your pick for the Packers makes a heck of a lot more sense than the "guru" Mel Kiper's!
To F***ingCOnservatives: I feel the way you apparently do about how they tore down democracy and sucked money up to the richest en route to destroying the economy, but you don't represent well with a name like that—it's not going to make people whose minds you could change want to listen to what you say. Just some advice from an otherwise agreeing party.
Tim Luneack: I agree with everything you wrote.
ollie: Maybe the Bills are sold on Trent Edwards, but I'm not. And they will forever be a 7-9, 8-8 team if they move forward with him as their QB. If Stafford somehow falls to them, I think they HAVE to take him. Edwards looked pretty good in the first four or five games of the season, but then laid eggs against Miami, New England (twice), Cleveland and San Francisco in the second half.
why in the world would the Bills pick a QB when they have Trent Edwards, who prior to concussion was looking like the steal the late great Bill Walsh tabbed ?
I don't think that the Lion's will take Stafford with the #1 pick. Offensive line needs are to great, the recent failure of Harrington and the fact that next year there will at 4 Qb's in the draft that will be as good if not better than Stafford. Malaluga will not be nearly the pro Llinebacker that Laurientis will. Malaluga does not wrap when he tackles, and he will not be able to get away with that in the league.
Marc Gross: I am being real here. Let's look at Philly's running situation. There is no doubt Westbrook is one of the best in the league. However, there is also no doubt that Westbrook is about as durable as glass. He misses games every season, and plays a handful of other games hurt and is therefore ineffective. He's also 29 and has quite a bit of wear on those legs. His backup? Just Correll Buckhalter, a 30-year-old back who has missed two ENTIRE seasons due to injuries. He's also an unrestricted free agent. The Eagles desperately need a young back. Unless of course you're sold on Kyle Eckel or Lorenzo Booker. Whether Philly takes a back in the first round or later is definitely up in the air. But I think it would be VERY difficult for them to pass on a talent like Beanie Wells or LeSean McCoy.
Hey guys, let's get real here. There is no way the Eagles go for a running back in the first round. Did you forget who we are dealing with here. Even odds these geniuses trade out of the first round again. We are so great, who needs a first round pick.

Nate: I see your point. I had the Steelers taking Mack in my first mock draft. At this point I kind of see it as a toss-up, but you may be right that Unger's stock is slipping.
Jake: I wouldn't be so sure. Laurinaitis's numbers are substantially better than Maualuga's over four years of college, and he has more experience as he's virtually been a starter since his freshman year. That USC defense is loaded with NFL talent, which obviously helps Maualuga look good. I think if you're going for potential, then you take Maualuga. But if you want the immediate, solid help, go with Laurinaitis. Look, Lofa Tatupu slipped to the second round in 2005, and he had just as good, if not a better career at USC. I think you are overrating Maualuga.
Zach S: I think it is FAR from a lock that Stafford goes No. 1. Why? Joy Harrington comes to mind, first of all. The LIons are not eager to waste $60 million and a quarterback they can't surround with other talent. Plus, the NFL is a copycat league. I'm sure you've heard that once or twice. The Lions will look to the blueprint the Dolphins laid last year. Miami, coming off of what could have easily been an 0-16 season as well, passed by a big-time quarterback, and went for a 10-year starter at left tackle. They then signed a veteran QB and boom, AFC East Champs. The Lions aren't as far off as most would think, but they will set themselves back if they take Stafford. It's not an environment as he step into and be successful. As far as the Ravens, if you think their offensive line is a strength then you need to get real. Yes Baltimore finished fourth in the league in total rushing yards, but that's because they attempted by far the most rushes. Their paltry average of 4.0 yards per carry was good for 22nd in the league, while their 33 sacks allowed were 15th most in the NFL. These are hardly good numbers. The Ravens got to the AFC Championship game with defense, plain and simple.
There is no way Stafford is not going number 1 it just ridiculous to think he drops to 11. Also the loss of Ogden really set the Ravens back from 5-11 to AFC championship game.... get real man.
No way in HELL does Laurinaitis go off the board before Maualuga, not to mention Laurinaitis is looked at by everyone I have read as a 4-3 LB and Denver is switching to a 3-4.
The only problem I see is that Unger's stock is dropping after that senior bowl. The other Center out there has been more highly touted. Alex Mack out of Cal because Unger doesn't have enough strength and is beat constantly.
FuckingConservatives: I could definitely see the Jaguars trading up for Jenkins. I think if they absolutely want him they will have to trade up. I'm not sure he will last to No. 8. But he would certainly be a good fit for them, especially knowing they have to face Peyton Manning twice a year.
Justin: I definitely think the Steelers will go for an offensive lineman. You're right that a guard probably makes more sense. Though, I think tackle might also be a possibility. Max Starks and Marvel Smith are both scheduled to be unrestricted free agents, while Willie Colon will be a restricted free agent. This pick will probably depend on what happens with those guys.
So I take it you are picking the Cardinals to win the Superbowl?
Also I am not sure the Steelers are going to take a center. They really need a guard. Unless they would plan on moving Unger to Guard.
Jaguars eyeing Jenkins.
