Hey everyone, I'm finally back to blog about anything and everything related to sports. It seems crazy to me that my last post was at the BEGINNING of college basketball season. Now, we're three games away from a National Champion. While I'm on the topic of college basketball and the tournament, my bracket is barely breathing after four rounds of action. My champion (North Carolina) is still alive, but I only nailed two of the four final four teams correctly. I had Texas beating Memphis and Wisconsin upending Kansas. But neither of those outcomes happened, so my bracket currently sits in fifth place in my Ithacan office pool. Before the tournament began, I had both Butler and Purdue pegged as Sweet 16 teams, but I wiffed on those as well. And I've been kicking myself the last two weeks for not going with my instinct and picking Davidson over Georgetown, and potentially having them go even further. But I suppose that's the beauty of March Madness. Another thing: I don't necessarily think that having all four number one seeds in the final four (for the first time ever) is a bad thing. It just means that they each proved themselves to be among the four best squads in the country. If anything, it sets the stage for the what could possibly be the best final four ever. If nothing else, it certainly will be one of the highest concentrated levels of talent on the floor in one two-day stretch in tourney history. Seriously, how many of these kids will be in the NBA in the next few years (Rose, Love, Rush, Collison, Hansbrough, Ellington, Lawson, etc., etc., etc.) I'm standing by my prediction of North Carolina as champion, and since my original runner up, Texas, is out, I'll take UCLA now. Enjoy the games. Note: Yes, I know baseball season just started. Yes, I'm excited as an eight-year-old on Christmas morning. And yes, I will talk about it, offer some predictions, etc. in the next few days.

Yes, he is still, and will probably always be that bitter.
