Better late than never right? I figured after taking in as much draft coverage in the last week or so that I could, I better post my last mock draft on the eve of the draft. So here we go. These are the picks I THINK the teams will make, not necessarily the ones they should. Let's get to it:

1. Detroit Lions - Matt Stafford, QB, Georgia: This is apparently a done deal, according to ESPN and other sources. I think it's the wrong choice for Detroit, but it's the one they've made.

2. St. Louis Rams - Jason Smith, T, Baylor: I think it's a toss up here between Smith, Monroe and Curry. Ultimately, the Rams will go for Smith ... I think.

3. Kansas City Chiefs - Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU: Jackson has seen his stock go up and down in the last few months, but in the last week or so he's been a hot topic. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the top five, even to KC at No. 3.

4. Seattle Seahawks - Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest: The Seahawks would be pretty happy to have Curry fall into their laps at this spot. I think it would come down to either Curry or Crabtree.

5. Cleveland Browns - Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech: In light of the Braylon Edwards situation (as well as Donte Stallworth's mess), Crabtree comes in as the top receiver on an offense desperately needing one.

6. Cincinatti Bengals - Eugene Monroe, T, Virginia: The Bengals would be very pleased to see Monroe still available here.

7. Oakland Raiders - Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri: Clearly way too high for him, but I could see Al Davis falling in love with him.

8. Jacksonville Jaguars - Mark Sanchez, QB, USC: I can't see Sanchez falling farther than this. Even if the Jaguars don't want Sanchez for themselves, they'll take him and trade him.

9. Green Bay Packers - B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College: Green Bay needs to bulk up in the middle, especially after the loss of Colin Cole.

10. San Francisco 49ers - Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas: Orakpo would be a good fit for the 49ers, who always need defensive help.

11. Buffalo Bills - Andre Smith, T, Alabama: The Bills would love to see one of the top tackles fall to them, as they have to replace Jason Peters.

12. Denver Broncos - Aaron Maybin, DE, Penn State: Maybin would upgrade Denver's defensive line. I don't buy the Sanchez talk for them.

13. Washington Redskins - Everette Brown, DE/LB, Florida State: Washington could end up with Sanchez, but if they don't trade up, Brown could be a good option.

14. New Orleans Saints - Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State: I've had Jenkins paired with the Saints for a while now. It just makes too much sense not to happen.

15. Houston Texans - Brian Cushing, LB, USC: The Texans will almost certainly go for defense here. Cushing is an impact linebacker.

16. San Diego Chargers - Rey Maualuga, LB, USC: Another Trojan linebacker off the board. Both should be immediate starters.

17. New York Jets - Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas State: New York is desperately trying to trade up, most likely for Sanchez. If they can't pull that off though, they might go with Freeman.

18. Denver Broncos - Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss: If Denver stays at this spot, look for them to again go defense.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Percy Harvin, WR, Florida: The Bucs grab the Florida product despite his drug troubles.

20. Detroit Lions - Michael Oher, T, Ole Miss: The Lions grab a young tackle to pair with Gosder Cherilus and (they hope) protect Stafford for the next decade or so.

21. Philadelphia Eagles - Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State: The Eagles fill a need at tight end and give Donovan McNabb another weapon.

22. Minnesota Vikings - Louis Delmas, S, Western Michigan: Minnesota doesn't have a ton of glaring needs, other than in the secondary. Delmas could, for that reason, be the logical pick.

23. New England Patriots - Clay Matthews, LB, USC: The third Trojan linebacker comes off the board. Matthews fills a need and could be the next good, young Patriot linebacker.

24. Atlanta Falcons - Robert Ayers, DE, Tennessee: Falcons would love to see Jerry here, but Ayers isn't a bad consolation prize.

25. Miami Dolphins - Larry English, DE, Northern Illinois: Miami will probably try to beef up on the defensive line.

26. Baltimore Ravens - Max Unger, C, Oregon: The Ravens still need to fill Jason Brown's spot on the offensive line.

27. Indianapolis Colts - D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt: Tough call here for the Colts, but another athletic defensive back wouldn't be so bad.

28. Philadelphia Eagles - Knowshown Moreno, RB, Georgia: Eagles would be hardpressed to find better value at this spot.

29. New York Giants - Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland: I think it's clear at this point the Giants are going to do something this weekend to upgrade their receiving corps.

30. Tennessee Titans - Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina: It would be tough for the Titans to pass up on a big-time receiver - again.

31. Arizona Cardinals - Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State: The Cardinals will be looking for running back depth, and they would love Beanie.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Alex Mack, C, California: Pittsburgh will probably look to upgrade the offensive line, which struggled mightily last year.

That's it. We'll see how I do tomorrow. Here's hoping for an entertaining draft. Enjoy it.

petry: You are correct. The Birk signing slipped my mind when I was putting together the final mock. As it turns out, the Ravens landed Michael Oher, which I think is a great pickup for them.
