There will be upsets and there will be teams that go all the way through their brackets untouched. Right now there are a few teams that I think are going to get upset early. I think that the Big East has all the pressure in the world on their shoulders. They have 3 number one seeds in the tournament. Now I have watched all three teams Louisville, Pitt and UConn in the last week and each team have flaws.

I think Pitt has a good chance to go out early in the Tourney. While I hope that they go deep I truly think that if Blair gets into foul trouble they are a very average team.  Pitt beat UConn twice in a big way.  Louisville played very well in the Big East Tournament. North Carolina looked very average in the ACC tourney and I would not be surprised if they get knocked out before the sweet sixteen. Tyler Hansbrough

Now I have to start filling out my bracket. Picking which 12 will beat a 5 and what 13.

I do have a question about why Penn State is not in the Tourney. I think they were deserving. I cannot figure out for the life of me though how they cannot have a better basketball team.  I mean they have a decent arena, have a huge football program and if they every did get good, I am sure the white out would follow the scent of a winning team on a college campus.

Shame on Penn State for not developing their basketball program more.

Going in my pick to win the whole thing is.........Louisville.  If Blair becomes force in the tourney then Pitt I could see going all the way. My sleeper picks are Syracuse and Oklahoma.

I am emotionally passionate for 2 teams of the sweet 16: Pitt and Syracuse I agree. If D. Blair gets in foul trouble, Pitt is in trouble. Syracuse is a "long shot" if everything goes perfectly...It won't. They are elite winners no matter what!! I too THINK Louisville will win it all! Why? The press and the coach. My HEART wants Pitt!! Steelers, Penguins, Pitt--sorry Pirates! Hope they win half of their games and do not end up in last place in the Majors!!!! jb

My brother was a freshman at Cuse when they won last time. I saw his roommate on TV climbing a tree and lighting it on fire. Place was crazy. I can def see them making a run. Great coach, good young group of kids.

Without a doubt the BEST time of the year.

Penn State was left out of the tournament for good reason, their out-of-conference scheduling. If you want to get into the tourney then you need to schedule decent opponents. Penn State has no excuse for not being able to convince big-name opponents to play them. Note to Penn State: You're not a mid-major so don't act like one. ( And I support Penn State by the way)

I think there are a few upsets in the first-round worth a second look, including Maryland over California. And people shouldn't sleep on VCU as an 11-seed. But I'm not going to give out all my secrets, I'll save it for a post.

Biography
Justin Brindger is one of the 10 Pittsburgh Pirates fans that still exist. He tortures himself every morning by reading about what stage of the 20 year rebuilding plan the Pirates are currently in. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA but lived in Williamsport, PA for most of his life and almost caught a home run ball from Sean Burroughs of Long Beach, CA during the 1992 Little League World Series. He went to Ithaca College in NY and yes, the Gorges are awesome. He started his business career trading baseball cards at the Dixie Baseball Card Shop, and thought he made some great decisions with Barry Bonds rookie cards only to find out 20 years later that the dude was on roids and the cards were not going to pay for his fiancée's engagement ring after all.
