If you don't remember the Mets were swept by these same Cardinals earlier in April. Here is the pitching matchups for this series:
Monday: Tim Redding 0-2, 6.27 vs. Todd Wellemeyer 6-6, 5.36, 7:10 p.m.
Tuesday: Livan Hernandez 5-1, 4.18 vs. Joel Piniero 5-8, 3.76, 7:10 p.m.
Wednesday: Fernando Nieve 2-0, 1.84 vs. Brad Thompson 2-2, 3.89, 7:10 p.m.
Thursday: Johan Santana 8-5, 3.22 vs. Chris Carpenter 5-1, 1.53, 1:10 p.m.
Man, look at Thursday's pitching matchup, battle of the CY Youngs between Santana and Carpenter. I'm really looking forward to that game to end the series.
