Andrew 0 Comments 760 Read Sep 16, 2007

Hey all. I just wanted to take the chance to introduce both myself, and the blog I'll be writing from here on out. I'm a sports nut, plain and simple. When I see things on ESPN.com or SI.com, I immediately have my own opinions and feelings about them. Or, there are issues that I think should be raised that aren't always necessarily reflected by the media. Now that I have a medium to do so, you can expect a lot of opinion and discussions on pretty much everything. With that being said, I encourage you all to comment early and often. I love getting comments and starting conversations through blogs. Also, if you're interested in college sports, I also write a Division III-exclusive college sports blog for The Ithacan, my college's student newspaper. The URL is http://theithacan.org/blogs/hattrick/, and I try to update that blog daily as well. I guess that's all I have to discuss right now. Check back tomorrow when I start posting about the latest news in the sports world.

Biography
Andrew Lovell is a sports writer/copy editor for the New Britain Herald in New Britain, CT. A 2008 graduate of Ithaca College, Andrew is an avid sports fan who enjoys all aspects of sports writing. He has worked for a handful of other newspapers, including The Ithaca Journal and Auburn Citizen, and has covered everything from the Hudson Valley Renegades (Single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) and Cornell University athletics to an NHL conditioning camp and high school football. Andrew's work has also appeared on d3football.com and his favorite sports writer is Gary Smith. Andrew is also not afraid to cry over sports, which he did for way too long after the Seahawks lost Super Bowl XL. When you can't find Andrew blogging, he'll most likely be watching ESPN or reading something about sports. You can contact him at andrewclovell@gmail.com ... unless you're a Steelers fan. Yes, he is still, and will probably always be that bitter.
