What I have saw this summer as a Pirates fan is the trade of just about every recognizable player in their franchise. I may eat these words later, but I think the GM did all the right moves except trading Nyjer Morgan to the Nat's. I loved him, he was a hard worker, great guy, loved the City of Pittsburgh and combined with Andrew McCutchen in my opinion could have been the face of the Pirates for years to come.

What has happened. He has turned into Superman in Washington. Everybody loves him and it makes me so mad. I say Nyjer for President and I mean it. Quote me the City of Washington, DC is going to love him like they love the President and his family.

Combine him with Ryan Zimmerman and top pick Steven Strasburg and the Nats are on their way to having a competitive team.

I miss Nyjer and I think most Pirates fans do as well.

Biography
Justin Brindger is one of the 10 Pittsburgh Pirates fans that still exist. He tortures himself every morning by reading about what stage of the 20 year rebuilding plan the Pirates are currently in. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA but lived in Williamsport, PA for most of his life and almost caught a home run ball from Sean Burroughs of Long Beach, CA during the 1992 Little League World Series. He went to Ithaca College in NY and yes, the Gorges are awesome. He started his business career trading baseball cards at the Dixie Baseball Card Shop, and thought he made some great decisions with Barry Bonds rookie cards only to find out 20 years later that the dude was on roids and the cards were not going to pay for his fiancée's engagement ring after all.
